aion and eternity

The Koine Greek word 'aion'(noun) means age, world, generation, period of time and infinite duration in the New Testaments. So someone like Adventist Church(안식교) who doesn't believe the everlasting punishment of evil ones says the word 'aion' can't mean foerever or eternity. 

The word aion itself doesn't mean eternity. The New Testaments use the word as age, world, generation etc. But Bible uses the word with other words zoe(life), kronon(time), and kolasin(punishment) to get the biblical meaning more fluent and developed. And we have the phrases of 'everlasting life, everlasting time, and everlasting punishment.' 

The word 'aion' has not only age, world but also infinite time duration that we cannot definite the duration. Definition in dictionary sometimes misses out much of the essentials of idea that word means.
